Directions from Anchorage

Please note that the increased daylight can be deceiving and make it easy to forget how late it actually is. We ask that our guests are mindful of those already in bed.

Take the Seward Highway South from Anchorage to Seward. The mileposts count down from Anchorage (mile 127) to Seward (mile 0). The drive is approximately 2.5 - 3 hours depending on traffic.

Take your time, enjoy the scenery, and DRIVE CAREFULLY. This drive was named by National Geographic as one of the “500 Drives of a Lifetime” and is easy to understand why!

For the first portion of the drive, keep your eyes out for whales along the Turnagain Arm as well as Dall sheep (mountainside). The town of Girdwood is at mile 90 and is the last place for gas until you reach Seward. If you are hungry, the Bake Shop (194 Olympic Mountain Loop) is a local favorite for breakfast or lunch.

There is a rest stop in Turnagain Pass (mile 68.5). 

At mile 37, you will reach a “Y” in the road, continue left on the Seward Highway. 

At approximately mile 6.5, you will turn left onto Stoney Creek Ave

Take the first right onto Bruno Road, and Bell in the Woods will be on your right after the curve and before the bridge. Look for the long rock wall. 13881 Bruno Rd, Seward AK 99664
